Spyware, as the name suggests, is a tiny program which spies on your system and the user pattern, and sends out this information to those who created it. In its honest form, spyware is supposed to simply send out your web surfing behavior. For example, the sites visited by you, amount of time spent on each site, the clicks on buttons on those sites, etc are sent out.
