Spyware nuker
Spyware, as the name suggests, is a tiny program which spies on your system and the user pattern, and sends out this information to those who created it. In its honest form, spyware is supposed to simply send out your web surfing behavior. For example, the sites visited by you, amount of time spent on each site, the clicks on buttons on those sites, etc are sent out. This helps in determining the marketer to know your consumer habits, and then they expose you to relevant advertisements. The ugly part of spyware showcases an altogether different character - it is a thief all the time ready to pounce on your key stroke regarding your bank, cards, etc, and sends that to an equally villainous person all decked up to misuse that information hurting you below the belt.
Is there a cure to this problem? Yes, and no. There are programs called spyware nukers to remove such malicious codes from your system. But there is no guarantee that same will not happen again. Spyware Nuker is a software program that scans and checks our system’s hard drive and see if there is any spyware and adware program in it, most of the other anti virus programs are unable to detect them as technically they are not considered as virus.
Nukers examine memory areas for active memory ad components, which are not stored on your hard drive and last only as long as the computer is power driven. Spyware nukers also scan the registry and drives for known spyware components and helps us remove them safely. Yet another area of scan is ad component DLLs which has become a necessary requirement now a days in order to keep your system safe.
There are various types of nukers available in the market. Spam Nuker tries to block hazardous and annoying spam than real e-mail. Pop-up Nuker helps the user by blocking 'regular' web-site-driven pop-ups. There are many nukers featuring spy watch, for real-time monitoring system’s memory and registry for spyware that tries to install on or modify our system. The moment a spyware nuker detects any spyware or adware programs, the user is notified immediately.
A user has to take important decision while making a purchase for a spyware nuker. Look for these characteristics in a nuker - definition database updation, people behind the program, its history, testimonials / credentials in the market place, and obviously the cost part. Remember, it is not necessary that an expensive nuker is likely to have better results. Also, never limit yourself to one nuker alone. Fight against spyware can't be successfully done with one nuker only. Opt for two or three nukers to have better ammunition. Last but not the least, don't use two or more nukers simultaneously for scanning. Use one nuker, let it complete the whole process of scanning and removal, then only start scanning with another nuker.
