Waxing Away Unwanted Hair For A Smooth And Silky Skin
There is a huge market for hair removal options, and there is no dearth of options available. And the most common solution to unwanted hair is waxing and there are two types of hair removal wax in the market, hot and cold.
In winter, when the norm is to cover up, people aren't really bothered by unwanted body hair. But with summer, the anxiety starts, especially if you plan an outing to the beach. While some of us have been lucky to be born with smooth hairless skins, others haven't been so blessed. So there is a huge market for hair removal options, and there is no dearth of options available.
You can choose from the more popular hair removal wax and shaving to the permanent solutions, like electrolysis or laser treatments. But, either way, before taking on the hair removing challenge, explore all the methods available to you and weigh the pros and cons.
The most common solution to unwanted hair is waxing with the help of hair removal wax. There are two types of hair removal wax in the market, hot and cold. The hot wax needs to be heated in the microwave before it can be applied. And if the thought of putting hair removal wax in the microwave that you cook or reheat your food in grosses you out, then you might as well abandon if. Or get a second microwave for your waxing purposes.
Hot wax doesn't necessarily mean that is should be boiling hot. If you heat it too much, you'll end up removing not just unwanted hair but also the skin with it. So, unless you're brave enough to take the risk, stick to cold wax. But waxing is always painful, especially if you use cold hair removal wax. So, it's not for the less brave. In fact many men, the so-called tough guys who take pride on their macho outlook turn pale at the thought of waxing.
And depending on the area you're getting waxed, the pain could vary from, a little pin prick to torturous proportions. But the results are amazing. Plus, there are none of the nicks and cuts that can result with shaving, and no stench that accompanies depilatory creams. Also, in the category of temporary hair removal methods, waxing lasts longest. The results are usually there for at least two weeks. So, regardless of how painful it is, it's worth the end result.
The first step, if you're using hair removal wax, is to carefully microwave the wax, according to the directions. Since microwaves vary, keep an eye on the wax to ensure it doesn't bubble over or explode. Also, remember to use oven mitts to remove the hot hair removal wax from the microwave. If you're using cold hair removal wax, then that's one step less to do.
Always apply the hair removal wax in the direction of hair growth and pull the strip in the opposite direction. And if you need more help on waxing, watch the movie, "What Women Want" where Mel Gibson tries to wax his legs, with comic results. And don't worry, not everyone ends up with a six sense as a result of waxing. Usually, you end up with smooth hairless skin that feels great.
