The Most Useful Baby Product Ever
If you asked parents what their favorite baby product was, you would get a lot of different responses. Some choose baby products based on convenience and others would choose based on the product’s effectiveness. Can we live without the product, or is it an item that has become absolutely indispensable?
Here are some baby products that have become favorites for many parents, in no particular order:
The swing—Since its introduction in a crude wind-up version, the automatic baby swing has been a lifesaving baby product for many a frazzled parent. Today the swing has many different variations. Some play music and nature sounds; others have electronic toys that blink or make noise. All of this type of baby product share the essential feature of the rhythmic, repetitive, hypnotic swinging motion that comforts babies so well.
The vibrating bouncer—This baby product imitates the feeling a baby gets when riding in a car. Extremely useful for putting in the bathroom and buying fifteen minutes to take a shower. Some kinds of this baby product feature music and nature sounds; others simply bounce and shake the baby in a gentle lulling motion.
The “Diaper Genie”—A baby product that does something very odd, in my opinion; however, it is revered among some parents. It has the strange ability to turn dirty disposable diapers into a large sausage-like object. I suppose the advantage of this is that each diaper is sealed in its own compartment, supposedly preventing any foul odor from escaping. But I have my doubts.
The “Boppy”—A kidney-shaped pillow that has many uses from assisting with breastfeeding posture to helping prop up babies. This baby product has been marketed very successfully and now has many different variations in all sorts of colors.
