Guess what? You have just been chosen to host a baby shower for . Didn’t know she was pregnant? Must be the personal trainer she has… Anyway, you have an unlimited budget, so how will you throw a baby shower to remember? Follow these simple guidelines and your guests will have a great time.
Location, location, location
Where is ’s favorite place to travel? Find a day spa there and rent it out for the day. Want to stay at home? Hire a party planner to the stars and have him coordinate every detail of the baby shower.
Day Spa
After you have flown everyone out to the day spa in the private jet, say, to Taos or Tahoe, the baby shower can begin with luxurious treatments. Your guests will be polished, massaged, refreshed, and glowing in no time. Then everyone can sit down and enjoy a meal of fabulous spa cuisine personally prepared for the baby shower by the spa’s top chefs. Tasty non-alcoholic fruit drinks will be served also.
Game Time
Your guests can play baby naming games. Who can come up with the most unusual name for ’s baby? You never know-- may name their baby something that you and your pals all came up with at the baby shower! You can also have a contest to see who will come up with the exact date and time of the birth—winner gets another day at the spa!
Surprise!
As the big finish to your no-holds-barred baby shower extravaganza, the guest of honor opens the lavish gifts that her friends and family bestow upon her baby. Then, to everyone’s amazement, favorite singer walks in and treats everyone to a special song he has written in honor of the new baby. Wow, what a perfect end to the perfect baby shower!
If you do not have an unlimited budget, you can still use some of the ideas here for your own baby shower.
Create a day spa at your house by having a masseuse come over. Do each other’s nails, especially the mother-to-be’s toes. You know she has not seen them in a while, unless she has a personal trainer too!
Make healthy salads and entrees for the baby shower ahead of time.
Play “celebrity baby names” and give a prize for the wackiest entries.
Have a “baby pool” to see who gets closest to the date and time of birth.
Play only music that the guest of honor really likes and make her a special mix CD with her favorite songs.
